THE GREAT STRAY ROUNDUP
Our first fund raiser, "The Great Stray Roundup" was an absolute success and was a fun time for everyone. We raised over $8,000.00 at the event, more than an additional $1,000.00 has come in since then and we are still receiving donations.
This fund raiser was organized to challenge the people and businesses of Chesapeake to help our City build a bigger, more efficient Animal Shelter. The City has allocated funds for a new shelter but unfortunately it is not enough to purchase the land and build a shelter to the specifications that we need. All money raised at this event will go towards the building of the new animal shelter.
It will take several of these type of events to get this built, but we know the community has our best interest at heart. Thank you to everyone that participated, donated and came out for the event.
