Friends of Chesapeake Animal Services 

You are cordially invited to participate in “Friends of Chesapeake Animal Services” second annual “The Great Stray Roundup”. 

This fund raiser is being organized to challenge the people and businesses of Chesapeake to help our City build a bigger, more efficient Animal Shelter.  The City has purchased the land and is proceeding with the building of the new shelter, but there are many things left to help with once the shelter is build.  

Friends is determining a wish list of items that will be needed by our furry friends and staff at the new shelter such as raised dog beds, cat condos, feeding systems, commerical washer and dryers and play yard equipment, to name a few things.    

This is where you come in.  We would like for you to commit to raising money by being locked up for a day.  A Police Officer will come to your place of employment, arrest you, give you a prison outfit to wear and you will be locked in a comfortable area within Greenbrier Mall until you raise the funds that you have allocated to raise or more.  It will be quite comfortable for you, a lot of fun and for a very good cause.  

The date is set for Friday, April 30, 2010 from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Greenbrier Mall.   If anyone knows of a "Stray" that we need to round up for this event, (maybe your boss, a neighbor, old friend, or you) please contact us as soon as possible.  For more information, please contact friends1@friendsofchesapeakeanimalservices.org.
